Description
The world’s smallest mechanical crab kit that WORKS!
Part of my World’s smallest practical wooden kit range, this teeny tiny Crab is just 47mm wide assembled and comes with all parts and tools required.
All parts are pre-cut and just held in place with tiny easily snappable tabs. Once all the bits are removed, it should take less than five minutes to bolt together, adjust and then watch the crab wave its claws back and forth when its rolled along due to the mechanism (Actually a circular offset cam) I’ve built into this incredibly detailed kit. The little wheels either side that drive the mechanism are toothed, and shaped like little baby crabs.
Note the bolts supplied are slightly shorter so they don’t stick out the back so much… Like all my kits, this is always being improved and updated!
Like all my kits, this will always benefit from a bit of lubrication on moving parts, so use a (unlit!) candle wax, gently running it on parts that touch. Because its so small, it will take a couple of minutes use before it moves really smoothly because the laser cut edges are very very slightly perforated so these tiny high bits need to wear down a bit.
The kit is made from laser cut 3mm MDF, manufactured by myself here in Nottingham UK.
All parts push out, no tools required. This is the world’s smallest, no other comes even close
No glue, nails or sticky stuff required, takes just a few minutes to assemble.
One of a range of ‘World’s smallest wooden kits’ I am designing and selling through SHOP NOTTINGHAM which includes catapults, crossbows and loads of other miniaturised stuff.
Designed and made by me, AJ Booker, in Nottingham, UK, out of Laser cut MDF and shipped to you. Now shipping in a sturdy reinforced card envelope, so it arrives fresh and wholesome, even though its made of wood!
Please note this item requires a little care in assembly and is NOT suitable for very young (under 6) children due to tiny parts Note that the design sent may vary slightly from the one here as I am continuously improving it for better running.
