Description
The world’s smallest wooden bike kit that WORKS!
I reckon this is the world’s smallest commercially available wooden bicycle kit with moving parts, at only 75mm long assembled. This bicycle kit makes a detailed mini track bike with rotating wheels, and comes with a tiny functional stand so it can be displayed on your shelf or desk, and a tiny (non-functioning) U’Lock. This updated bike is 20% smaller than the previous version, and comes in a much nicer surrounding so looks great as a gift, and has a sticker on the back with a link to the free YouTube assembly video.
All parts are pre-cut and just held in place with tiny easily snappable tabs. Once all the bits are gently pushed out, it should take less than two minutes to snap together with no need for glue, nails or tools. Wheels rotate freely. lock fit over the saddle.
This kit is rated EASY as its straight forward to assemble with few parts.
The kit is made from laser cut 3 mm MDF, manufactured by myself here in the East Midlands, UK.
Based on a classic road racing bike, the kit makes up a bike with moving wheels, and a working stand, and even comes with a non-functioning lock (there is a limit to how small you can make things!).
Ideal for the BikeHead or Mamil in your life. Note that due to manufacturing technique, the detail lines are engraved on one side of pieces only. Easily painted and a great display piece when its just too wet to get out your trusty iron steed…
I originally designed this in 3 mm plywood, then it went to a bigger A7 sized kit and now due to the wonders of material optimisation (Making a few bits thinner and other bits thicker!) its now even smaller!
One of a range of tiny kits I am designing and selling through SHOP NOTTINGHAM which includes catapults, crossbows and loads of other miniaturised stuff.
Designed and made by me, AJ Booker, in Nottingham, UK, out of Laser cut MDF and shipped to you. Now shipping in a sturdy reinforced card envelope , so it arrives fresh and wholesome, even though its made of wood!
Please note this item requires a little care in assembly and is NOT suitable for children under 6 due to tiny parts and its fragility if roughly handled. Note that the design may vary slightly from the one here as I am continuously improving it for better running.
